CLUB ACTIVITIES and Programs:
Club meetings are held at 7:00 pm, at St Germain Community Center, on the third Wednesday of each month, from March through November. Each meeting features a guest speaker from the natural resources field followed by a short business meeting. We invite both members and the public to our meetings! May 20, 2026: Kevin and Linda Grenzer, Loon Rescue, Inc. How to Protect Loons and How Loons are Rescued. The Grenzers will be showing videos of loon rescues and teaching us how to best protect our precious loons, as we share the water with them. June 17, 2026: Licia Johnson, Education Director/Naturalist, North Lakeland Discovery Center Those Who Once Roamed - A Look at Prehistoric Animal Life in Northern WI. Licia will delve into the prehistoric life that once called WI home. Learn about megafauna, like mastodons, dire wolves, and giant stag moose, and the habitats here they once roamed. Licia and Jenna Richardson will be bringing fossils for the group to see and touch. July 15, 2026: Len Larsen, our own St. Germain resident on Moon Lake, who has been actively involved in lake advocacy for many years. Preserving Lakes & Rivers of Northern Wisconsin: A Proactive Approach for Long-Term Sustainability August 19, 2026: Steve Gilbert, Retired DNR Fisheries Biologist The History of Record Fish in WI, with a focus on the WI State Record Walleye. Steve has put together a fascinating historical presentation about state record fish. He will focus on the WI state record walleye! September 16, 2026: Bart Kotarba, Wildlife Educator, Northwoods Wildlife Center Minocqua Owls of the Northwoods Bart will bring an owl ambassador, and he will share fascinating information about the owl species found here.
